Performance Details
All but the VC-Turbo Altima models at our dealership have 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines that produce 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. The motor pairs with a continuously variable transmission and FWD or optional AWD. AWD versions achieve 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque.
Altima SR VC-Turbo vehicles get 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines that deliver 236 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque. Using fuel with at least 93 octane increases the output to 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Turbo models have the CVT and FWD to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds. Either drivetrain provides fuel-efficient performance.
Exterior and Interior Design
Smooth curves and sharp character lines accent the Altima model's front, sides, and rear. The front end features a large trapezoidal mesh grille. Arrow-shaped headlights and daytime running lights border each upper grille corner beneath the sloped hood. Additional angular architecture makes up the lateral sides of the lower body. Side views display an aerodynamic profile and high-cut wheel wells. Arrow-shaped brake and taillights border either side of the trunk lid.
The four-door sedan accommodates five passengers with plenty of comfortable room and support. The S sedan interiors have fabric upholstery. Stepping up to the SV model adds a power-adjustable driver's seat. SR models feature leather-wrapped steering wheels and shift knobs. SL Altima sedans add leather upholstery while having power-adjustable and heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Every Altima vehicle you choose to finance or lease has 15.4 cubic feet of storage space in the trunk.
Technological Amenities
Base Altima S models unlock the doors using remote keyless entry. The remote engine start function comes in handy during cold weather months to pre-warm the vehicle. Otherwise, turning the engine on simply requires pushing the start button. The windows open and close, and the doors lock and unlock via electric power. Entry-level infotainment systems have seven-inch touchscreens along with HD AM/FM radio and six speakers. Bluetooth enables hands-free phone usage and Internet access. A USB port provides a means for recharging mobile devices.
At the SV level, drivers gain a seven-inch digital instrument display. The infotainment system gains a larger eight-inch touchscreen while also enabling smartphone integration. Interiors gain three more USB charging ports. SL level sedans add automatic climate control systems that regulate two zones. The infotainment systems gain 12.3-inch touchscreens along with navigation software, a premium nine-speaker stereo, and wireless smartphone integration. A moonroof improves views of the exterior, night or day. The 360-degree, live bird's eye view camera boosts safety while making parking or leaving a parking space less stressful.
