The Nissan Rogue Versus the Mazda CX-5
Your new compact SUV should take care of you in every way it can. The Nissan Rogue does just that, but that's easy to say at Jim Keras Nissan. What happens if we put it up against the Mazda CX-5? Well, we get some differences that are well-worth highlighting.
Fuel Economy
With any SUV, you'll want to find the one that makes it easy to go about your day without interruption, so finding one with good mileage is important. Plus, it helps that that makes it more affordable as well as reducing the times you need to stop for gas near Memphis, Bartlett, or Arlington. The Mazda CX-5 drives up to 25 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, but the Rogue manages to go 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.
Interior Space
If you're in the market for an SUV, even a compact one, you probably want to have room for plenty of cargo. The Nissan Rogue offers 36.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats, and if you fold those down you can get up to 74.1 cubic feet. You'll only be able to get up to 30.9 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 59.6 cubic feet when they're folded down. You'll get nearly 15 more cubic feet of space in the Rogue, and more than 5 of that doesn't even require you to fold down the seats.
Climate Control
Whether you're out in the sun or escaping the cold of Lakeland winters, what climate control system you have can make a big difference. While both SUVs offer air conditioning on their base trim and dual-zone automatic climate control on higher trims, the Nissan Rogue is the only one which has a tri-zone climate control system available on the Rogue SL and Platinum. The CX-5 keeps its dual-zone system even on the premium Signature trim.
